Busy Busy Busy

As always Kennedy is keep us on our toes! Jeremy took her to the after hours MUSC clinic to find out that Kennedy had a right ear infection and upper respiratory infection POOR BABY :( She was waking up with so much crusty sleep in her eyes that she could not open them on her own we had to use a warm wash cloth . I hate seeing keni like that and I am glad to say after an aggressive couple of days of meds she is doing just fine. Yesterday, I received news that Kennedy's surgery will be on Aug 8th @ 7 a.m. so that means arrival time 5:30 a.m. ~~ Hopefully nothing but good news from the imaging studies that she is having done! ~~ I want everyone to keep Kennedy in their thoughts and prayers for her surgery day . Even through this is not our first rodeo with surgery and this is not a very invasive surgery compared. It is still anaesthesia and that can always have complications ( so far kennedy has shown no signs of having problems with it and I hope she continues to do well with it everytime).

House of sickness

So, over the last few weeks one person or another has been sick in our house. First, it was Joselain then Keni then me and last and not wanting to be lefted out Jeremy. I think my whole household is just sick and tired or being sick and tired. Thankfully we are all on the mends and feeling better. Kennedy went to the GI dr. this past Wednesday were she showed her Dr. that sometimes with a little cough her food just doesn't stay down by throwing up all over her floor. ( I couldn't help but laugh- what else can you do) After talking with her Dr. we decided to do a Nuclear Med. study where they are going to put tracers in her food so we can watch how fast her body digest her food over 2 hours. So, yipee we have to spend our Wed morning at MUSC for a three hour test not including the time it take to get there and do all the paperwork and get home. Grrr..... I don't think the test will change anything we do for Kennedy now but it will be nice to know how her body is working on the inside. Beside a day or two over the last couple of weeks Keni has been her normal easy going self. She has been doing a lot of rolling , clapping, touching our noses, putting her fingers in our mouths, turning your head so she can see your earring rings, and pinching but I can't be more happier with her progress even if she is leaving little marks on me. LOL.

ENT

Kennedy went and saw ENT on Tuesday and they decided that keni's ears are big enough for her tubes. They will only be putting in the right side since the left has a small canal. I will be getting the date hopefully by next week. Kennedy will not only be getting a tube placed she will also have CT of the temporal bones, MRI of the brain , MRI of the temporal area , ABR (hearing test) and they are going to take a look in her nose to see how it is doing! WoW! just typing that makes me tired I can only imagine what my little miss goes through but I know she is tough , brave and going to go through this just like the other times before with FLYING COLORS!
