It's right now !!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that I had a setting wrong and now that it is fixed you should be able to see the videos! Grrr..... technology is so hard ;-(

Old videos

Time for you to see Keni in action

Kennedy hanging with Grandma !

I am finally with the times.......

Finally, I have figured out how to upload videos to Kennedy's blog ! Gosh, you would have thought it was rocket science. This first video is one that Keni's nana sent to me just today !! She is getting so big! I will be posting a lot of videos since I have been keeping them stored until I could have the time and brains to get it to work!

One more surgery ......

On Thursday Jeremy and I went to meet with Kennedy neuro Dr. about her shunt placement. After a lot of questions and discussion we have to decided to go ahead and have the shunt placed. The Dr. said that we could wait a couple of weeks or months but he would not recommend longer than that. We booked the surgery for Oct 3rd. Kennedy will have to stay over night (Grrr... I hate staying there but understand why) and should be able to go home Thursday afternoon. This has been hard on Jeremy and I because Keni shows know signs of needed a shunt so for us it is like putting her through something that you don't see the need for . We know that we might not see them now but in a few months to a year when her skull fuses we will see them and we don't want to wait until it becomes a emergency situation . The surgeon says it should only take about 30 mins to place the shunt, so I am glad it's not a long procedure. The infection rate is 1 and 10 (for us that is high) and that makes us a little scared. So everyone please keep Kennedy in your thoughts and prayers. We know that Keni is one strong will little kiddo and she will do just fine.

Getting Bigger

Kennedy has been doing some new things these days! She has learned to sign the word "more" we are not sure if she knows the meaning or just mimicking. We are really proud either way. She has learned how to say Uh-Oh, which is so cute! I am trying to start a you tube channel so I can upload for video for everyone but I am not that tech smart so it is taking me a little while but hopefully soon! Everyday it seems Keni is showing us something new and we are just so blessed to have her .

We are meeting with the neuro surgeon on Thursday Sept 20th. He wants to see her himself to measure her head and talk what we are going to do "shunt or no shunt" . Will update as soon as we know something.

Fall is coming

It has been a crazy last couple of weeks ! Kennedy is now a wiggle worm ! We are so happy about that (most of the time). The girls had a great Labor Day weekend. We started off by celebrating Papa's Birthday (Happy Birthday) with a fabulous dinner cooked by nana. Then spent most of the time playing and spending the night at nana's house, where they got a new HUGE swing set to play on. Keni went on a swing for the first time where she said " I could do this or you could take me out whatever . I am not that impressed" LOL .. We finished off the weekend with a nice dinner at grandma's house and a nice treat was that Aunt Tammie and Uncle Rob were there to help celebrate.

I am happy to say that Kennedy is now 17lbs 1oz after three months on the BD she has put on 3lbs!!! We did see the Neuro Dr. this week for a check-up and were a little shocked to hear that Kennedy head circumference was much bigger than her last visit. We only met with the PA and I was supposed to hear from the Dr. Thursday or Friday but I didn't Grrr..... to know wether Keni needs a shunt or not. We are hoping that no news is good news but I will try to get a hold of them on Monday (easier said than done). I will keep everyone updated as soon as I hear. Please keep Kennedy in your thoughts I am hoping she doesn't need one but sadly I think if it doesn't happen now it will happen sometime in the future.

But on another note Kennedy is now rockin and rolling all over the place in her special walker so everyone watch your toes the next time you come for a visit.
